OK! So, never ever have I ever experienced a pandemic and the majority of us in working age probably haven’t either. When I google pandemics, some other diseases appear in that category in this lifetime but none of them reached the status of literally bringing entire economies to a halt across the world. Videos, sudden resurfaced of infectious disease experts, past presidents and others warning of this fate but never did I truly imagine that it would happen , well maybe because it didn’t….until now.
I opened this website about 2 years ago well for alot of different reasons, first because i wasn’t working then, second because I wanted to see what it was truly all about (I missed the entire .com bubble) and then because I really wanted it to work – for people to advertise there various jobs and activities so that I (and others) could have a choice in where I wanted to go. At the time, some people were very selective in saying what was happening where and I sometimes felt like I missed all the fun stuff :). Anyways, then I got a job that slowly took away my time and then Covid 19 happened and there were no activities happening nor places to go. People were forced to work from home, some businesses closed and a lot of people lost their jobs. It’s not over yet, but people either begged or are forced to return to work in spite of the potentially deadly consequences – simply to have money and provide for their families.
As bad as it is now, it’s no where as bad as the 1918 Spanish Flu and for that, all thanks should be given. This experience has taught me alot or in any case it has reinforced the importance of work, having a job and that you are important. I hope that you stay safe, stay well and weather the storm!
