Care and Health are essential and can not be stressed enough! It doesn’t matter which job you have or going to have, taking care of yourself is a must.
The level of care to one’s self, property, work or staff is often visible. I personally know what it’s like to not look immaculate at work perhaps because the baby wouldn’t sleep or maybe I was rushing that particular day because I took on too much but nothing permanent not long-term or that some rest couldn’t fix but it’s really important to make it a daily priority. A few years ago I visited a few workplaces and interacted with staff who greeted me with missing front teeth and the look of being overworked and underpaid. I wasn’t trying to be judgmental and that can be difficult to receive but it reminded me of the importance of care and caring. Now many of us I’m sure have worked in a less than new building, or in jobs we think were not ideal but that doesn’t mean we are not to make an effort.
Remember, most of us ultimately have to work until the retirement age of 65-67 and so we must try to keep ourselves well in order to reach that goal and then be able to enjoy retirement. Things like eyesight and hearing could be enhanced with the use of glasses and aids but it’s best to try to keep the health of all organs in check. Dentures can also be purchased from the dentist but if a survey is taken, I’m pretty confident that users are grateful to have them but would have preferred to have their natural teeth aka ‘choppers’. Exercise is a great way to help prevent stress and keep our overall health in check. Fruit, vegetables, water and meals are a great support. If you’re struggling, use a 10 minute guide – 10 minutes brushing and flossing your teeth, 10 minutes bathing, and 10 minutes with everything else (wash face, comb hair and moisturize skin). Of course this is a rough guide, you may use less or more but the point is you must care for yourself. None of know but all of us must try.
